ほぼ美品。カウント・ベイシーのバンドで活躍したフランク・フォスターの御大カウント・ベイシーのピアノ抜きでの楽しい企画盤。ケニー・バレルの参加がアクセントになってブルージーでリラックスしたカウント・ベイシーが率いたカンザス・シティ・セブン・ライクな演奏が素晴らしい。フランク・フォスター、フランク・ウエス、ベニー・パウエル、ヘンリー・コーカーの４管編成。「カウント・ベイシー抜き!」のタイトルとベイシーの帽子をピアノの上に置いて「彼はいませんよ」とかけたカバーも洒落ています。
